Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This policy covers the Busy Season website at busyseason.ca. It is short because this site does very little with your data.
1. This site sets no tracking cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not currently run analytics on this site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser's request for those font files reaches Google's servers, which is outside our control and covered by Google's own privacy policy.
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request data (including IP address) to serve pages and protect the service, as any web host does.
2. The sample-ad form
Submitting the "Get a Free Sample Ad" form sends what you typed to our own endpoint on this site, which forwards it to us as an email. We collect only the fields on the form: your business name, your name, your email address, what you do and the area you cover, and — if you choose to give them — your phone number and anything else you want to tell us.
We do not collect your IP address, set a cookie, or profile you when you submit. The message is delivered by Resend, our email provider, and then held in our email account.
If that delivery fails, the page offers to open the same details as a pre-filled message in your own email application instead. That path sends nothing anywhere until you press send yourself.
3. What we do with enquiry information
We use it to:
- reply to you, build the free sample ad you asked for, and quote for the work;
- keep a simple record of client and prospect details in our own tracker so we can manage the projects we're engaged on.
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without you asking for it.
4. Client project material
If you engage us, we hold the material you send for production — your brief, logo, job photos, and any footage — for as long as needed to produce your videos and run your campaigns. Photos of your crew or customers' properties may identify people, so send us only material you have the right to use in advertising. Whether we may show finished work in our own portfolio is agreed separately in writing; see usage rights.
5. Your advertising account and campaign data
We build and run campaigns for our clients, which means that if you engage us we will ask you to grant us partner or administrator access to an advertising account and page that you own. We work inside your account; we do not hold your ad budget, and your payment method stays yours. You can withdraw our access at any time, and we remove it on request when an engagement ends. The terms of this are in our Terms of Service.
Through that access we can see your account's campaign, billing and performance data. We use it only to run and report on your campaigns.
If your campaigns use a lead form or click-to-call, the contact details that homeowners submit are collected by the advertising platform and delivered into your account and to wherever you ask leads to be sent. Those leads are yours, and you are responsible for them — including how you contact those people and how you handle their information. We may see them incidentally in the course of managing the account, and we do not use them for anything else.
The advertising platform is an independent controller of that data and handles it under its own policies, which we don't control.
6. Service providers
This site is hosted by Vercel, and submissions from the sample-ad form are delivered by Resend.
Campaigns run on the advertising platforms your account is held with — currently Meta (Facebook and Instagram), under Meta's privacy policy.
Beyond that we use third-party tools to run the studio — email, file delivery, invoicing, and AI video production tools. Material you send us may be processed by those tools for the purpose of producing your videos. We choose providers with reasonable security practices, but we don't control their systems.
7. Retention
We keep enquiry correspondence and project records for as long as there is a business reason to, and for any period required for tax or legal purposes. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we're required to keep it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Email us and we'll deal with it.
9. Children
This is a business-to-business service. It isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes
If we add analytics or any other tracking to this site, we'll update this page before doing so.
